Objective: In this study, kidney biopsies which performed in our center between 2006 and 2016 were reviewed retrospectively. It is aimed to reveal the most common diagnoses in our center with biopsy results and the relationship between these diagnoses and demographic data.

Material and Method: Two hundred patients whose adequate data could be reached from the archive and automation system of our center were included in our study.

Results: One Hundred (51,5%) patients were male, 97 (48,5%) patients were female. One hundred and fifteen patients were under 40 years old, 72 of them between 40-59 years old and 13 of them were older than 60 years old. The mean biopsy age was 38,8±14,1. In our center, the most common biopsy indication was nephrotic syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome was followed by non-nephrotic proteinuria (16%), acute renal failure (12,5%), renal involvement of systemic disease (12,5%), hematuria (2,5%) and nephritic syndrome (1,5%) respectively. The most common renal disease was primary glomerulonephritis with 63%. Primary glomerulonephritis was followed by secondary glomerulonephri-tis with 27,5%. Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis was the most common diagnosis among the primary glomerulonephritis, It was followed by membranous glomerulonephritis, membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, minimal change disease and IgA nephropathy, respectively. In secon-dary glomerulonephritis, amyloidosis, lupus nephritis and diabetic nephropathy were found, respectively.

Conclusion: The data we have obtained will help us to form a prospective opinion about the patients who are indicated for kidney biopsy. Percutaneous kidney biopsy maintains its importance in the diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of parenchymal diseases of the kidney.
