Hantaviruses can cause two different types of diseases in human: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome and hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome. Any patient with fever, thrombocytopenia, and laboratory evidence of acute renal dysfunction should be suspected of having hantavirus. Although hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome are reported in a significant number in Asia and Europe, there are very few cases in our country. In this paper, we presented a patient admitted to our clinic with acute renal failure and was detected to have hantavirus infection.
