Objective: Deep brain stimulation has been increasingly used in recent years and has been the subject of an increasing number of scientific studies. In our study, a detailed analysis of the scientific studies conducted in this field between the years 2000-2021 was carried out.

Material and Method: Original scientific publications published in the \"Web of Science\" database were analyzed using the CiteSpace 5.8.R3 program. The links were searched by clustering the variables such as author, title, country-based institution, citation, keywords of the publications. Changes and trends in the focus of interest of scientific publications in the field of deep brain stimulation over time were examined.

Results: There has been a linear increase in the number of publications and citations in this field over the years. The average H-index of 4687 publications meeting the criteria was 147, and the average number of citations per publication was 29.37. Over time, it has been observed that publications from America and Europe, and recently, publications from the People\'s Republic of China, have made a significant citation explosion. While the titles of \"Parkinson\'s disease\" and \"treatment-resistant depression\" were at the forefront, recently the concepts of \"connectivity\" and \"anterior nucleus\" have been seen as hottopic current research areas.

Conclusion: Deep brain stimulation is a hottopic current research area with an increasing number of publications and citations. Different trends emerge in the field over time.
