Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the demographic characteristics, preoperative data, success and complication rates of patients who applied to our clinic for urogenital system fistula in the last 10 years.

Material and Method: The data of female patients who underwent fistula excision with the diagnosis of urogenital fistula between 2013 and 2022 from our hospital database were evaluated retrospectively. Routine cystoscopy procedure information for all patients in terms of fistula location, diameter and number was noted before the operation. Data such as operation time, operation type, development of intraoperative and postoperative complications, and average hospital stay were also evaluated.

Results: The mean age of 10 patients included in the study was 41 years (range 21-65), and five patients (50%) had a history of comorbid chronic diseases. A history of obstetric surgery was found as the etiological cause in 9 (90%) of the patients. Laparoscopic fistula repair was performed in 4 patients (40%), while fistula repair was performed with the vaginal approach in 2 patients (20%) and the abdominal approach in 4 patients (40%). While no complications were observed during the operation in any of the patients, a postoperative recurrence was observed in one patient who un-derwent laparoscopic fistula repair, and this patient was treated with the vaginal approach without any problems.

Conclusion: Although there are many factors affecting the choice of the repair method, the most important factor affecting the surgical success is the location of the fistula, the choice and experience of the surgeons.
