Postero-anterior (PA) view radiography is the most commonly used method of radiological imaging of the respiratory system. Following the basic but very important rules is necessary for obtaining high quality chest images, which in turn is indispensible for correct diagnosis. The interpretation of the optimally obtained chest radiographs requires discipline of systematic approach, diligence and attention. We present this case to highlight the importance of paying attention to artifacts when interpreting the PA view lung radiography among patients especially in girls and women by whom hair can rarely be the source of the artifact, and may cause difficulties in the diagnosis.
