Aneursymal bone cysts (ABCs), are benign lesions and are frequently seen in children and young adults. ABCs are mostly located in proximal humerus, distal femur, proximal tibia and in the spine. ABCs may cause local pain, swelling but also sometimes pathologic fractures. The etiology of ABCs is unknown. Diagnosis of ABCs is made with some imaging modalities, and some of them has characteristic feautres like \'fluid- fluid levels\'. ABCs and telangiectatic osteosarcoma can be similar in terms of imaging modalities and a biopsy must be taken before treatment. Treatment of ABC is curretage and grafting, arterial embolization may also be used in cases where curretage is impossible. Reccurence rate of ABCs is 10 % and can reach 59% in spme series. Low-dose radiotherapy in the treatment of ABC can decrease the reccurence rate, but it may also increase the morbidity rate. ABCs rarely cause fractures. In such cases, the treatment is curretage, grafting and fixation. ABCs at femoral neck causing fracture in a pediatric case are seldom where only one case is reported in literature.
