Corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.) is an annual herbaceous plant with a height of 20 to 90 cm, belonging to the Papaveraceae family. Excessive con-sumption may lead to clinical conditions such as nausea, vomiting, confusion, seizure, miosis, arrhythmia and morphine intoxication like findings. In this study, corn poppy (Papaver) was used in children presenting with sudden changes in consciousness and seizures. We wanted to emphasize that rhoeas L. poisoning should also be considered in the differential diagnosis. Children should be careful about consuming wild plants. Children and their families should be made aware of this issue.
